Can Skaters

Half Season $200 = 4 volunteer credits             Full Season $200 = 8 volunteer credits

Star Skaters

Full Season $200 = $300 sponsorship + 8 volunteer credits 

This fee is pre-dated within the uplifter system and will be charged April 19, 2026 if you have not completed your volunteer obligation.

Why do I have to provide a volunteer bond? 

 

Just like most other non-profit sports organizations, fundraising and volunteering helps keep the club costs down, which in turns keep our registration fees down.  We are required to have National Certified Program Coaches during all of our sessions and these coaches are paid, not volunteers.  On top of paid coaches, we have ice rental fees, off-ice activities, and supplies which increase every year.  Registration fees alone do not cover Tillsonburg Skating Club's ice rental and coaching fees. 

 

All families are required to provide a volunteer bond.  Failure to provide the volunteer bond, skaters will not be allowed on the ice until the bond has been received by the Tillsonburg Skating Club.

 

 

How to get your Volunteer Credits?

 

The Tillsonburg Skating Club offers many opportunities for families to get their volunteer credits. 

    

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 

The Tillsonburg Skating Club is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Directors at large.  Meetings are held on a monthly basis from September to July. Please email us if you would like to join a meeting.  Elections are held at the Annual General Meeting each year in July.  Our AGM Meeting is held each year in June.  (must attend 8 board meetings per year to earn credit)

 

HOLIDAY SHOWCASE

 

The Tillsonburg Skating Club hosts its annual Holiday Showcase in December.  This year the event is scheduled to be held Thursday, December 18, 2025.  Volunteers are needed to assist with admissions, sales table, security, announcing, music, set up and tear down, and costume distribution.  

 

ICE SHOW

 

The Tillsonburg Skating Club will hosts our bi-annual ice show this year. Volunteers will be needed to build props, paint the backdrop, assist with with admissions, sales table, security, announcing, music, set up and tear down, and costume distribution.  This year the ice show will be host 3 shows:  1 evening show: Friday, April 17 and 2 shows Saturday, April 18. 

 

FUNDRAISER DISTRIBUTION

 

The Tillsonburg Skating Club requires volunteers to help organize and distribute our fundraisers such as Elmira Poultry, and Skate Ontario Contest books.
