CAN SKATE starts Thursday, September 11 at 5:45 pm and/or Saturday, September 13 at 10:20 am.

Learn to skate with certified Skate Canada Can Skate coaches and earn badges as you glide through agility, balance and control circuits to earn the 6 levels of Skate Canada's Can Skate program!

Tillsonburg Skating Club offers Can Skate as either a one-day or two-day option. Skaters also have the option to skate a Full- season (September - April) or Half-season (September - December or January - April) option.

this is what STAR Skate is all about!

STAR Skate offers opportunities for skaters of all ages to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate (singles) and interpretive skating.

Tillsonburg Skating Club offers a variety of program options for Star Skate. Morning Ticket Ice is available to Star 3 and up with coach approval.

EMAIL OUR COMPETITIVE COACH

Skaters who wish to challenge their figure skating skills and who show potential as competitive skaters can participate in the Competitive Skate program.

Skaters registered in the Competitive Skate program attend a 5-day program and all scheduled off-ice sessions. Skaters participate in year-round programming to develop their skills.

Guest Skaters are welcome to join us during our Star Skate sessions. Please set up an account and register for your drop-in session.

Holiday Showcase 2025

Thursday, December 18

TIME: 6 - 7:30 PM

(both Thursday & Saturday CAN SKATE welcome to participate)

Admission: Adults $10.00, Ages 4 - 12 $5.00 and 3 & Under Free (CASH PAYMENT ONLY)

Admission Door opens at 5:30 pm) on the Memorial Ice Rink

**SPECTATORS MAY ONLY ENTER WHEN ARENA DOORS OPEN.

(NOTE: PARENTS ARE REQUIRED TO PAY ADMISSION TO THE SHOW) Admission proceeds pay for this special ice time and program supplies.

**Flowers, Candy Kabobs and Popcorn will be for sale - First come first serve basis.

Warm-up Skating Time is available prior to the showcase for all StarSkaters.
**Star 4 and Up will have a regular session from 3:30 - 4:30

Warm-Up Times
Star 4 and Up from 4:30 - 5:00 pm
Star 1 -3 from 5:00-5:30 pm.

What to Wear for the Holiday Showcase:

ALL CanSkate - PLEASE DRESS IN FESTIVE COLOURS. Red T-shirts will be given to all of the CanSkaters.

**CanSkaters will be working in their Group for a number.

Fast Track & Star 1: Need Black Yoga Pants, Costume to be provided, Helmets must be worn if you have not passed at least one star 1 test

Star 2 & 3: Need Beige Tights (Ryker black pants), Costume to be provided

Star 4 and Up: Need Beige Tights (Scott black pants), Costume to be provided

ALL SOLOISTS ARE TO WEAR THEIR COMPETITION OUTFITS FOR THEIR SOLO.

How the Show will Work:

Dressing Room Assignments will be posted at the dressing room entrance on the day of the show. Please report to the correct dressing room during the show. It is important that you STAY in your designated dressing room.

· When you arrive at the arena, families (and their skaters) are asked to sit together in the stands.

· All groups are asked to line up outside of dressing room 1 (NOT the normal Thursday ice entrance) with skates on three (3) numbers prior to their own number.

IF WEARING YOUR SKATES UPSTAIRS IN THE ARENA - PLEASE BE SURE TO HAVE RUBBER GUARDS ON

· Coaches will be organizing the skating group line-up.

· One family member is asked to bring your child to the dressing room and line-up area and once your child is ready, you are encouraged to return to your seat to watch.

· For all stages, when your child's number is complete, please come down for your child and then both return to your seats for the rest of the show.

· We would just ask as a courtesy to the general audience, that movement occur between skating numbers to minimize disruption.

· We would also like to suggest if possible, that skaters take seats in spots which are more accessible to the walkways for ease of exit.

Please plan this day according to the above information.
