Tillsonburg Skating Club requires that all CanSkate, CanSkate Fast Track and StarSkate 1 participants must wear a CSA approved hockey helmet while on the ice.  

The Tillsonburg Skating Club coach may permit a Star 1 skater to remove their helmet upon the completion of their Star 1 assessments.  

This policy also applies to all other Skate Canada programs Tillsonburg Skating Club provides, therefore anyone who lacks good control/balance when skating forward, backward and has difficulty stopping, as well as maneuvering around obstacles on the ice must wear a CSA approved hockey helmet as per the discretion of our certified coaches.
