Helmet Policy

Tillsonburg Skating Club requires that all CanSkate, CanSkate Fast Track and StarSkate 1 participants must wear a CSA approved helmet while on the ice.

The Tillsonburg Skating Club coach may permit a Star 1 skater to remove their helmet upon the completion of one of their Star 1 assessments.

This policy also applies to all other Skate Canada programs Tillsonburg Skating Club provides, therefore anyone who lacks good control/balance when skating forward, backward and has difficulty stopping, as well as maneuvering around obstacles on the ice must wear a CSA approved helmet as per the discretion of our certified coaches.

There will be NO SKATING on the following dates:

Thanksgiving - Monday, October 13

South Oxford Hockey Tournament - Saturday, October 18

Winter Break - Friday, December 19, 2025 - Sunday, January 3, 2026

Family Day - Monday, February 16

Good Friday - Friday, April 3

Tillsonburg Skating Club reserves the right to cancel scheduled ice times if required.

Ice Cancellation due to inclement weather, facility issue or any other extenuating circumstances beyond our controlwill be provided via social media and email when possible.
